Community Ambassadors Supports Maggie's Place
By: Dona Kiner, Co-Director | Connection Newsletter - August, 2015Maggie’s Place is a community that provides houses of hospitality for expectant women who wish to achieve their goals in a dignified and welcoming atmosphere. Amazing, right? This is happening right here in Parma. You’ve probably driven by many times wondering, “What is that place?”, “Who lives there?”

Recently, Community Ambassadors has been able to donate pizzas from Pizza Hut, as well as bread and pastries from Panera Bread, to the Zechariah House. As a member of the Food Harvest network, Community Ambassadors has the opportunity each week to rescue food from local restaurants and distribute it to area non-profit causes.
Our community is so blessed to have Maggie’s Place in our back door. Please take a moment and check out their needs list on their site: CURRENT NEEDS LIST
You can also attend a Serve Saturday, which takes place on the second Saturday of every month from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages and abilities to serve alongside the moms and staff, working on various projects around The Zechariah House.

We must never forget that God has called us to take care of the fatherless. What a great opportunity we have to make a difference just minutes from our doors!
