Project More Volunteers Needed

Parma City School District is currently seeking volunteers to support the Project More Program.
Project MORE is a highly effective, one-to-one reading-mentoring program assisting students in grades K-12. As a reading mentor, your primary job is to be a coach and cheerleader. We are looking for volunteers to commit to one 30-minute session each week. The program runs from October to May.
Project MORE students struggle with reading and need fluency and comprehension practice. As a volunteers will be reading to and with your student, as well as facilitating skill review lessons, quizzes, and games. The daily lesson plan and all materials will be provided for you, tailored to each student and their unique needs.
Project More will be running the program in all of the PCSD elementary schools, Greenbriar Middle School, and Valley Forge High School.

- Dentzler – 8:30am – 9:00am (Monday – Thursday)
- Green Valley – 9:00am – 9:30am and 2:45pm- 3:15pm (Monday – Thursday)
- Parma Park – 8:30am- 9:00am (Monday- Thursday)
- Renwood – 8:30am – 9:00am (Monday- Thursday)
- Pleasant Valley – 8:30am- 9:00am (Monday – Thursday)
- Thoreau Park – 3:30pm- 4:30pm (Monday – Thursday)
21st Century Discovery Sites
- Ridgebrook 4:00pm – 4:30pm (Monday- Thursday)
- Greenbriar 3:15pm – 4:14pm (Monday- Thursday)
- Valley Forge – Afterschool (Monday- Thursday)
