Pastor Carey Named Civic Leader
Community Recognition
Community Ambassadors would like to congratulate Pastor Gene Carey of Parma Christian Church on being recognized recently as the Civic Leader winner at the annual MyCom meeting. For those that may not know, MyCom is a local initiative that provides leadership development, service learning, and positive social opportunities for Parma Area youth ages 12-17.
Pastor Carey and his wife, Marge, have served the Parma area community wholeheartedly since 2002, working in partnership with Parma Area Family Collaborative and Love Inc. Parma Christian Church also serves the community as the host site of the Parma Health Ministry, which works with UH Parma Medical Center in providing quality medical care to individuals and families whose income can’t afford health insurance yet make too much to qualify for welfare. They also serve numerous residents throughout the community through their food pantry.
Pastor Carey, we applaud your love and commitment to our community. Keep up the great work!
