2013 Year in Review

2014 is now in full gear, but I would like to take a quick look back on 2013 and share with you what Community Ambassadors was able to accomplish by the grace and favor of God, and because of the amazing spirit of collaboration that abounds within the Parma area community.

Community Fatherhood Initiative
Fresh Forks Market is the newest partner of Community Ambassadors. I recently had the opportunity to visit with the company’s CEO and founder Trevor Clatterbuck, a local entrepreneur who graduated from Case Western University. He began with the intention of connecting local farmers to local restaurants, but soon saw the desire for local food reached beyond restaurants.
Pastor Carey Named Civic Leader
Community Update
Community Ambassadors would like to congratulate Pastor Gene Carey of Parma Christian Church on being recognized recently as the Civic Leader winner at the annual MyCom meeting. For those that may not know, MyCom is a local initiative that provides leadership development, service learning, and positive social opportunities for Parma Area youth ages 12-17.
The next HEROES event will be a Father & Kid Movie Night held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 6:30 - 9:00 PM at Parma Area Family Collaborative - 11212 Snow Rd., Parma, OH, 44130. This will be a FREE event that will include a big-screen movie, games, and snacks! All dads, grandpas, and "big brothers" are welcome!
Parma Area Ministerial Forum
Round Table Meeting
Calling all pastors & faith-based leaders! In conjunction with the Parma Area Family Collaborative, we will be holding our next Ministerial Forum on Wednesday, March 5th, at 8:30 AM. The meeting will be held at the Family Collaborative’s office at 11212 Snow Road in Parma (The old Hanna Elementary School building).
