Don't Duplicate, Collaborate

When you consider how much good, edible food is thrown away on a daily basis by restaurants and grocery stores, it is shocking that we actually have people in America, and in our very community, that go hungry.  I mean, how does that happen?!

 

Even in the toughest of economic times, I would argue that there is absolutely no shortage of food in this country, as evidenced by the 165 billion dollars of food we waste (voluntarily, I might add) each year....

Community Ambassadors would like to give a big thanks to some local food establishments who generously donate food items on a weekly basis to area churches and programs like Pay It Forward Cafe.  Their commitment to our community speaks volumes and is making a difference!

Family Collab Needs Your Help
Community Service Opportunity

On the second Thursday of every month, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, the Parma Area Family Collaborative hosts a free mobile food pantry in conjunction with the Cleveland Foodbank.  They are always in need of volunteers to help set up and to help pass out food.

FREE Homework Club
Community Outreach

For Children in Grades 1–7

Wednesdays, 7:15 to 8:15 PM

Starts again January 8, 2014

 

At Community Ambassadors

(In Parmatown Mall next to Payless Shoes)

 

The Homework Club program is provided in cooperation with Parma Heights Baptist Church and is open to all children grades 1–7.
