Connection Newsletter NOVEMBER 2013
Let's Get in the Game!
With Election Day just days away, I am reminded once again of how significant the role our local churches and pastors play in the balance of our community's health and future.
As pastors and leaders, we are charged with an irrevocable responsibility to be effectual in our world, leading positive change and transformation for people and families within our community.
As planning and construction of the new Shoppes of Parma, formerly Parmatown, are in full swing, the future home of Community Ambassadors remains unknown and uncertain. What we do know now, however, is an actual timeline for the closure of our space and subsequent relocation.
Please support Pay It Forward Cafe on Thursday, November 7, 2013, by dining at Bob Evans on Rockside Rd. Open to close, 15% of all proceeds (when you present the following flyer) will be donated to help the Cafe continue to serve the physical, social, and spiritual needs of those in the Parma and surrounding area.
In conjunction, with area churches, local businesses, and the Parma Area Family Collaborative, Community Ambassadors adopts families within our community who could use, not only assistance, but a show of love during the holiday season.
The Parma Heights Food Pantry (PHFP) is currently in need of non-perishable food items for the holidays and beyond. If you are not familiar with the PHFP, below is their location, as well as the specific items they are needing re-stocked.
In partnership with the Parma Family Collaborative and Renew Communities, local community architect, Stephen Politte, is spearheading a winter coat drive for kids in need.
SPECIAL OFFER FOR PARMA AREA CHURCHES - Print the following coupon for either a FREE week at the Ridgewood Family YMCA, located at 6840 Ridge Road, Parma, or 50% off the join fee when you become a full-facility member.
