Parma Area Ministerial Update

What an honor it was to have Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter with us at our last Parma Area Ministerial Forum in January.  Mayor DeGeeter addressed area church leaders on various matters regarding the city of Parma, such as budget issues, safety priorities, and neighborhood quality of life.  He then opened the floor for questions and input.

The purpose of these quarterly forums is to provide an opportunity for our local faith-based leaders (pastors, administrators, teachers, etc.) to gather together and discuss the needs and challenges facing our community.   Perhaps the greatest outcome to these round-table discussions has been the partnerships that have formed, the assimilation of available resources, and the mobilization of churches and members seeking to help address the needs that are being identified.

Ultimately, our hope is that, through better communication and greater collaboration, our local churches can become a stronger asset to the city government, the school district, and community as a whole.
