Miscellaneous Information: Cornerstone of Hope is a bereavement center in Independence, Ohio, that offers counseling and support groups for children, teens and adults who have lost a loved one. All programs/counseling are facilitated by Master’s level clinicians in our recently built, $3 million facility, or in a school, community center, church or other community agency. Monthly education programs, as well as summer camps are also available. All groups and camps are provided free of charge. Miscellaneous Information: The Cuyahoga Tapestry System of Care is a partnership of parent leaders, local agencies, neighborhood centers, and public partners that take a family-centered, team approach to serving children with multiple needs. The system of care is for the family who has a child at risk for or already involved with multiple child-serving systems or services, like Juvenile Court, the Department of Children and Family Services, alcohol and other drug counseling, and mental health. Rather than looking at what is “wrong” with the family, the team looks at the family’s strengths, needs, culture, and takes action.

MyCom-My Commitment, My Community is a grant funded project funded through the Cleveland Foundation.  It provides leadership development, service learning, and positive social opportunities for Parma Area youth ages 12-17.  The Parma MyCom Youth Group, the PATCH (Parma Area Teen Community Helpers) is involved in social, community projects throughout the area during the year.
